Our Science
The science behind the ritual
WellnessCave™ products are selected on one criterion: does the peer-reviewed research support consistent daily use with measurable outcomes? We don't stock trending ingredients. We stock proven ones.
Creatine Monohydrate — 30 years of clinical evidence
Creatine is the most studied supplement in sports and health science. Over 700 peer-reviewed studies support its efficacy for strength, power output, muscle recovery, and cognitive function.
Mechanism: Creatine increases your body's stores of phosphocreatine, which is used to produce ATP — the primary energy currency of every cell. More phosphocreatine means more ATP available for high-intensity effort, faster recovery between sets, and improved mental energy.
Clinical results: Studies show an average 8% improvement in strength output and a 14% improvement in high-intensity exercise performance after 4–6 weeks of daily supplementation at 3–5g.
Our dose: 5g per 2-gummy serving — the clinically established daily maintenance dose.

Milk Thistle Silymarin — liver protection with a 40-year track record
Silymarin, the active flavonoid complex in Milk Thistle, has been studied for liver health since the 1970s. It is one of the most well-documented botanical supplements in clinical medicine.
Mechanism: Silymarin protects liver cells from oxidative damage, stimulates protein synthesis in liver tissue (supporting regeneration), and inhibits inflammatory pathways that contribute to liver stress.
Clinical results: Meta-analyses show significant improvement in liver enzyme levels (ALT, AST) in patients with liver stress conditions after 8–12 weeks of standardised silymarin supplementation.
Our dose: Standardised extract at 80% silymarin — the concentration used in clinical studies.

Shilajit Fulvic Acid — adaptogenic support with ancient roots and modern research
Shilajit has been used in Ayurvedic medicine for over 3,000 years. In the past two decades, controlled clinical trials have begun to validate its traditional applications in energy metabolism, testosterone, and cognitive performance.
Mechanism: Shilajit's primary active compound, fulvic acid, acts as an electron carrier in mitochondrial function, improving cellular energy production. It also contains dibenzo-alpha-pyrones (DBPs) which support CoQ10 availability — critical for energy metabolism.
Clinical results: A double-blind, placebo-controlled trial published in Andrologia (2016) found that 250mg of purified Shilajit twice daily for 90 days significantly improved total and free testosterone levels in healthy male volunteers aged 45–55.
Our dose: Standardised extract at minimum 50% fulvic acid content — consistent with doses used in human clinical trials.
